Sound Journey
Enter a space to receive healing sounds that recalibrate the subtle realms of vibration in the body
Sound Journey
Fay has enquired into sound healing for nearly a decade, with her love for Gong vibrations originating from an experience in Kundalini Yoga with Gurmukh and Gurushabd (From New York Yoga School, teachings from Yogi Bhajan) at triyogy, London her former yoga school. Fay works instinctively with sound, people and spaces to create a mediative environment that is immersive, expressive and unique.
Fay uses various other instruments on ceremonies and retreats; Flutes, Drums, Chimes and Crystal Singing Bowls. The instruments are interwoven with the Gong to create a vibrational journey to rest into.
While everyone's experience of the gong and sound healing is different, the time in meditation to receive the sound allows space for what needs to shift or re-tune (emotionally or physically). This opens the potential to recalibrate the subtle realms of vibration in the body energetically and in experience. In this space visions can arise, creative ideas, and a movement of emotions. The gongs sound is a literal metaphor of how vibrations (utterances of experience/ thought/words) travel beyond the conceptual physical form, into the air, around us, through us into the subtle planes of experience. How we are vibrationally effects how we unfold into life, sharing how we are and attracting what we are ready for.
What to expect?
In the session of sound you will be in a place of rest and support. Often lying down on a yoga mat with blankets, socks, cushions to keep you warm and cosy. This is available to everyone and no previous experience is required,
In Yoga classes Fay plays the Gong over you at the end of class and moves through the space. Expect to be filled with sound and vibration. This normally is a relaxing experience, as you hear a variety of different sounds moving around and though you. Often you will leave feeling elevated, calm and grounded. Sometimes the gong can feel intimidating or overwhelming, and that is ok also. If you have concerns prior to the Gong journey Fay invites you to raise your hand and she can move around you with care and awareness that you need a gentle experience.
