‘Introspective Rose’

Intrigue, inspire and imagine

Moving into the New Moon and Sun in Gemini this will be a space for refection. We will consider ‘New Moon, New Beginnings’ and will be honouring this time by focusing our attention onto Intentions and Affirmations that will move us towards what we would like to create for our lives. We will nurture this new energy within the Vishuddha (Throat Chakra) that is linked to Gemini to encourage creativity and communication through led journalling, singing, drawing and reflection along side the Yoga practice.

The Flow Yoga to Restorative Yoga classes will focus on the weave of the Rose and Anahata (Heart) Chakra with a journey of low to high asana sequences that will have a different focus each session, then a Pranayama and Gong bath finish. The first part of the class will be dynamic and will build up heat. The second part of the class will become more restorative with deep resting poses that work with pranayama and then sound. We will also work with a simple mantra at the beginning and end of the class to honour the tradition and align with our intention. The restorative Yoga classes will also have a different focus each class and will be rested supine postures supported by bolsters, blocks, eye pillows and blankets to help the body release and soften, stimulating the parasympathetic nervous systems to help aid digestion and a restful sleep.

Rose holds the frequency of Unconditional Love which has an affinity with Venus and the Heart Chakra. In the practiced we will explore visualisations and mediative states to connect with the vibration of the Rose honouring its qualities of Love, Beauty and Compassion; to explore how the Rose (nature) is a reflection of what's within us.

Through ceremony using Rose Water and a Rose Altar we re-organise our inner structure to create flow, strength and grace in our practice. This will be a mediative journey exploring embodied awareness, visualisation and tantric philosophy.

We will weave our awareness into an exploration of the eternal awareness of the universal presence; Gold thread into the heart of the practitioner; to those around us and beyond.

Hosted by Fay Rosamond incorporating her experience of yoga, sound and movement to hold these three days and three nights under the inspiration of the beauty of the rose, and nature itself. Yoga has a good way philosophically of relating to natural world as it’s clear refection and teacher of how life unfolds/opens within this beautiful yoga practice exploring depth, softness, opening and rest.

Held in a beautiful eco retreat centre in Devon near Totnes. Nestled into the warm cosy eco retreat centre with beautiful vegan/vegetarian food, sauna and trips to local beaches and rivers. Community is central to our wellbeing, and together we will explore methods and practices that enable us to look within, to allow space for the body to feel, rest and restore. Embedded within a rich tapestry of yoga, somatic enquiry, breath work, music and sound. This aims to be a rejuvenating retreat, leaving you feeling inspired, curious, interested, rested, aligned, grounded, open, peaceful and settle.
